First entry from my "Atlas of Crusader Military History."  Peter the Hermit preaches the crusade in northern France, and marches from Cologne, through Hungary, to Nish, including the siege of Zemun, and the crossing of the Sava River.

Discussion of the meaning and possible origins of the term Saracen, which was widely used by crusaders as an ethnic term for Muslims of the Middle East.
